The Humane Society of Hall County presents its 17th annual Stray Pet Strut and 5K Run on Sunday, with all of the proceeds going to benefit the organization.

The event takes place at Lake Lanier Islands, which is a new location from previous years.

Registration is $25. Prizes will also be awarded in four categories for participants with the most pledges.

For runners, the race is a Run and See Georgia certified race, and runners will also receive awards in 15 age categories..

Pets can join in, too, and those who participate in the Pet Strut walk must be updated on their vaccinations, on a leash and in good physical condition.
