The Georgia Poultry Lab in North Hall County has made it easier for visitors to get a bird’s-eye view of the area’s thriving poultry industry. Dr. Louise Dufour-Zavala, the lab’s executive director, said a model presents visitors with a detailed look at the poultry industry. She said the model can be seen from the mezzanine, which visitors use to tour the $13 million facility without entering areas where staff conduct diagnostic and monitoring services to certify Georgia flocks are free of avian diseases.
