Georgia State Patrol troopers still are investigating how a motorist struck and seriously injured a man who was leaf-blowing a private driveway in South Hall.

Jeremy Thompson, 20, was in stable condition Wednesday at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, troopers said.

A helicopter ambulance took him to the medical center following the wreck on Hidden Oaks Drive around 1:10 p.m. Tuesday.

He was on the driveway or shoulder of the driveway itself when the driver, Caroline Sexton, 20, collided with Thompson, said trooper J. Thompson, who is no relation to the injured.

The leaf blower was going at the time of the impact, the officer said, adding that the people involved might have known each other.
