Firefighters from four Hall County fire stations responded to a South Hall blaze that destroyed a home on Thompson Mill Road Tuesday night.

Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said the call went out for a chimney fire at 5375 Thompson Mill Road at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. When firefighters arrived, the 2,500 square-foot, two-story home already was half engulfed in flames. The occupants escaped the home safely.

The home was expected to be a total loss. No one was hurt.
