A $300,000 home in South Hall County was destroyed in a fire Monday morning.

Hall County firefighters were called just before 5 a.m. and found heavy fire at the 2,500-square-foot home in the 5700 block of Winding Rose Trail near Union Church Road. No one was home at the time of the fire.

Multiple hand lines and an aerial truck were used in a defensive attack against the fire. The home, estimated to be valued at $300,000, is a total loss, according to Hall County Fire Services.
