Skunk found in North Hall tests positive for rabies

A skunk that was recently in contact with two domestic dogs in the Cleveland Highway area of North Hall has tested positive for rabies, Gainesville-Hall Animal Control reported.

A door-to-door canvass has been done in the area asking residents to report any abnormal animal activity to Gainesville-Hall Animal Control at 770-531-6830 or, during nonworking hours, to Hall County Dispatch at 770-536-8812.

County residents owning pets that are not current on rabies vaccinations should take their pets to a veterinarian immediately for vaccinations.
