Flowery Branch City Council canceled its Wednesday morning meeting this morning because it failed to have a quorum.
Three of the six members were absent for various reasons — Mayor Diane Hirling and councilmen Chris Fetterman and Craig Lutz.
The council was set to consider only one item: renewing a contract for a local firm to provide building and soil erosion inspections, as well as construction management and minor construction work.
Clearwater Properties’ contract expired Friday.
The new contract calls for a monthly payment of $2,800 to the firm, which is based at 6343 Chestnut Hill Road.
The council’s next business meeting is set for 9:30 a.m. March 18 at City Hall, 5517 Main St.
