Investigators are trying to root out a series of plant thefts totaling $300 in North Hall, according to authorities.

A white man is seen on surveillance footage stealing plants and other accessories including junipers, roses, baskets and holly trees from Turner’s Market on Cleveland Highway, according to a post by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office on social media.

The incidents happened on Nov. 17, Nov. 26 and Nov. 29.

Authorities believe the man is driving an SUV or a pickup truck with a camper shell “maybe coming down from White County on (U.S.) 129,” according to the post.

“We're open to the idea that maybe ol’ Ebenezer finally got the Christmas spirit and is just trying to change his ways by sprucing up his place a bit with some holiday color in the landscape,” according to the sheriff’s office’s post.

Anyone with information is asked to call the investigator at 770-531-6879.
