Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama are set to face off in Nashville, Tenn., tonight in the second of three presidential debates. The 9 p.m. debate, which will be moderated by NBC News correspondent Tom Brokaw, will be conducted in a town meeting format and will include issues raised by members of the audience and online.

Throughout the debate, gainesvilletimes.com will be moderating a live blog and we want your input while you're watching on TV or from our planned live feed. Participants are urged to log onto gainesvilletimes.com/debate 15 minutes before the debate begins to check in with Times' Managing Editor Keith Albertson, who will be moderating the blog.

The Times also will be moderating a live blog for the final presidential debate Oct. 15.
