A woman reported she was sexually assaulted while sleeping in the Buford home of an Atlanta Falcons player, but the athlete is not a suspect in the assault, police said.

The home’s owner, wide receiver Harry Douglas IV, was interviewed by detectives, who determined he was not involved in the assault, nor did he have any knowledge of it, Gwinnett police Cpl. David Schiralli said.

Schiralli said the woman told police she went to a party at Douglas’ home on Huddleston Lane on Wednesday night, and early Thursday she fell asleep in a bedroom.

The woman said she was awoken by a man sexually assaulting her. She ran from the house and called 911.

The woman provided police with the name of a possible suspect and possible location where he could be found, Schiralli said.

Douglas told police the suspect they were looking for had already left the house before they arrived.

As of late Thursday, investigators were still looking for the suspect.
