A seminar in Hall County on Oct. 3 at the Hall County Elections Office is aimed to educate potential candidates for political office about campaign ethics, record-keeping and fundraising.
The nonpartisan event, held by the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, is open to all residents interested in running for a statewide, state, county or municipal elected office.
The commission is a state agency that ensures compliance with the Campaign Finance Act, collects campaign finance reports, and educates the public about campaign financing laws and ethics.
While the event is free, attendees need to RSVP to Lori Wurtz, Hall County’s elections director, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 770-531-6945.
The office is in the Hall County Government Center, 2875 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville.
