Khaled Hosseini, author of "The Kite Runner" and "A Thousand Splendid Suns," will be speaking at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Brenau University. Following the lecture, Hosseini will hold a book signing in the Sellers Gallery in the Simmons Visual Arts Center.

Hosseini was born in Afghanistan and now resides in San Francisco. In his novels, he relates the cultural and emotional impact decades of war has had on his country and the daily lives of Afghan women.

Tickets still are available to attend a live simulcast viewing of Hosseini’s visit at Thurmond McRae Lecture Hall on the Brenau University campus.
