Law enforcement suspended the search again at 6 p.m. Monday for a Snellville boater missing since Saturday.

Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies resumed the search at 9 a.m. today for Jerry Kornmeier, 57.

DNR was called around 5 p.m. Saturday to Cocktail Cove on Lake Lanier for a missing boater report.

“Upon arrival, they located the empty boat of Mr. Kornmeier adrift, in open water, just outside Cocktail Cove,” DNR public affairs officer Mark McKinnon said Monday. “A preliminary search of the cove and the surrounding area did not yield any results on Saturday night or throughout the day on Sunday.”
