School bus, vehicle collide in Lula; 1 injured
Hall County deputies work the scene of a collision Thursday afternoon between a car and a Hall County school bus in Lula. Only one student was on the bus at the time of the wreck.

One person received minor injuries after a school bus accident Thursday afternoon in Lula, Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said.

Gordon Higgins, spokesman for Hall County Schools, said there was one student and the driver on the bus. Neither was injured. The student was picked up by his parent, Higgins added.

The driver of a car, Gloria Busby, age 64 from Homer, was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with a hand injury, Kimbrell said.

The bus, No. 2211, was turning left at the intersection of 2nd Street and Main Street in Lula when it was struck in the rear by the car, Higgins said. Busby was charged with following too closely.
