Members of the public have opportunities over the coming month to hear about an upcoming sales tax referendum.
Hall County residents will have the chance to vote on the 1-cent special purpose local option sales tax on March 17. If approved, collections on SPLOST VII will begin July 1.
The tax is projected to bring in $158 million over a five-year period. Revenues will be distributed between the county and cities based on the 2010 census numbers.
A public notice lists presentations on SPLOST VII to be conducted at the following times and places:
