Roads reopen after gas leak shut down roads near Hog Mountain-Blackjack intersection in South Hall

All roads have been reopened after closures near the intersection of Hog Mountain and Blackjack roads in South Hall because of a large gas leak in the area. Hall County Fire Services said the gas leak has been secured, though “work will continue in the area and motorists should pay attention to workers in or around the roadway.”

Georgia Department of Transportation had closed Hog Mountain Road at Capitola Farm Road, Hog Mountain Road at Friendship Road and Blackjack Road at Lake Crossing Drive.

Repairs took a few hours and severely impacted traffic.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
