Northeast Georgia Health System Inc.-Supports an improved provider payment agreement model.Lanier Technical College-Renew legislation that allows Technical College System of Georgia colleges to maintain a reserve account from fiscal year to fiscal year.-Capital funding to build a Public Safety, Allied Health and Economic Development building in Oakwood.-More than $71 million in 2014 capital outlay projects for the Technical College System of Georgia.Gainesville State College/North Georgia College & State University-Full formula funding to further invest in the success of the consolidated institution to provide sustainable growth.-Approval of system’s budget request.-Funding for the Corps of Cadets.-No guns on campus.Hall County Tax Assessors-The Georgia Association of Assessing Officials calls for eliminating the 40 percent assessment ratio and instead using 100 percent market value and requiring all local taxing authorities to roll back their millage rates to revenue neutral.-The GAAO calls for the General Assembly to move the deadline for submitting the tax digest from Aug. 1 to Sept. 1 and move the deadline for the board of assessors for submitting the tax digest to the tax commissioner from July 1 to Aug. 1.-Oversight with authority at the Department of Revenue Local Government Services level.Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce-Support the continuation of “deal closing monies” for job creation.-Support technical colleges in Georgia and keep them fully funded and separate from the University System of Georgia.-Support legislation that would keep health care costs down and provide companies a way to cost-effectively provide health insurance to employees.Hall County State Solicitor-Require that both the state and the defendant give notice to the other side of their intent to call an expert witness in a criminal case and to provide their scientific report ahead of time.-Allow police officers to arrest a defendant who violates a condition of bond or an order of probation in a pending criminal case of domestic violence.Hall County Fire Chief-Define inmate as it relates to firefighter.-Increase firefighter pension dues.Brenau University-No guns on campus.-Oppose Senate bill 386 requiring that pay levels for schoolteachers be based on the results of tests for students, but not on the levels of education teachers themselves have attained to prepare themselves for the classroom.Gainesville City Schools-Support legislation to ensure that future e-SPLOST collections are allocated among the participating entities on a per student basis.-Continue to fund charter systems.-Consider changes to the capital outlay fund requirements providing flexibility and better efficiencies for school districts.Hall County Commissioners-Support a partnership with Hall County to build a Glades Reservoir.-Review the state’s annexation laws.-Require the Public Service Commission to take an active role in setting utility rates for noncity residents.-Allocate funds to address water safety issues for Lake Lanier.-Oppose unfunded mandates.Cities of Gainesville, Lula, Flowery Branch, Oakwood, Clermont, Braselton, Buford, Gillsville and Department of Natural Resources-Support the Georgia Downtown Renaissance Act.-Oppose changing annexation legislation.-Help stop businesses that avoid paying sales tax to the cities.-Oppose decriminalization of misdemeanor offenses.Hall County Board of Education-Support Hall County’s proposed pilot solution to help children receive an education using alternate pathways to college, work and citizenship.Juvenile Court Judges-Support juvenile justice reform.-Fight prescription drug abuse.Public Defenders-Eliminate mandatory minimum sentences.-Support proportional sentences.Superior Court Judges-Support accountability courts.-Support housing for people in accountability courts.-Restore funding for job positions and equipment.
