Red Rabbit bus passengers worry over uncertainty
Future of transit line in question as county reconsiders federal grant money

Red Rabbit riders make their way Thursday around the Hall Area Transit station on Main Street as they change buses.
After rejecting $400,000 in annual federal grant money last week to help operate the area’s Red Rabbit fixed bus service, the Hall County Board of Commissioners will take another look at accepting the grant money at its work session Monday. Commissioners accepted grant money in March to buy new buses. A deal allowing the bus service to continue would be welcome news to many of its passengers and to employees at the Gainesville-Hall County Community Service Center, which includes Hall Area Transit and is funded jointly between the county and city.
