Oakwood city officials plan to honor retiring City Council members Martha Collins, Ron McFarland and Montie Robinson with a Monday reception.

The event is set to take place 6-7 p.m. at Oakwood City Hall, 4035 Walnut Circle. Refreshments will be served.

Collins and Robinson, who will step down when their four-year terms end Dec. 31, decided not to seek re-election Nov. 3. Dwight Wood and Sheri Millwood were the lone candidates to replace them.

McFarland has been off the council since he resigned in January. Pat Jones won the election Nov. 3 to replace him.
