Hall County officials have issued a rabies alert for the Cochran Road area of North Hall County after a rabid raccoon had contact with a dog there. The raccoon was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab, Virology Section in Decatur. Hall County Animal Control was told Monday the raccoon tested positive for rabies.
