Rabid skunk found in North Hall

A skunk found in the Pea Ridge area of North Hall has tested positive for rabies, according to Gainesville-Hall County Animal Control.

Following contact between the skunk and a dog on Tuesday, the skunk was tested at the Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur the next day.

Signs will be posted in the area where the rabid skunk was found, and residents in the Pea Ridge Road area should call the Gainesville-Hall County Animal Control Department if they see an animal acting abnormally.
