A rabies alert has been issued for the Joe Chandler Road area of North Hall County after a rabid raccoon came in contact with two dogs. The raccoon was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab, Virology Section in Decatur and confirmed positive for rabies on Thursday. This is the 11th confirmed case of 2012.
