A rabies alert has been issued for the Lula Road and Skitts Mountain area in North Hall County after a rabid raccoon came in contact with a dog. The raccoon was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab, Virology Section in Decatur and confirmed positive for rabies on Thursday. This is the 12th confirmed case of 2012.
