A rabies alert has been issued for the Ivey Street area of Clermont after a rabid bat came in contact with a dog. The bat was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab, Virology Section in Decatur and confirmed positive for rabies on Wednesday. This is the 20th confirmed case of 2012.
