A newly remodeled poultry plant in South Hall County plans to employ 200 more workers in 2013, and additional plans for expanding its operations could begin in as little as three years. According to a letter filed with the Hall County Planning Department, Gold Creek Foods LLC began the remodeling of Gold Creek Processing on Webb Girth Road in the early summer and was operational by Nov. 1. The facility is on the site of an old Pilgrim’s Pride hatchery, according to the minutes of a May 7 meeting with the Hall County Planning Commission in which the company sought approval for the project.
