Charles Baker keeps job as Hall's clerk of courts

With more than 55% of the vote, incumbent Charles Baker held off his three challengers to retain his role as Hall County clerk of courts.

Who is he: Baker was first elected in 2008 to the position and has 42 years of experience in the clerk’s office.

How he reacted: Baker could not be immediately reached Tuesday night.

On the issues: Baker said his office has worked on digitizing platbooks and plat slides to make more information available online. 

What’s next: There are no independent or Democratic candidates, so Baker will continue in office in January.

  • Bradford Rounds, R: 18.14%

  • Jennifer Gibbs, R: 17.2%

  • Laura Stiner, R: 6.17%
