An armed robbery victim suffered a minor stab wound to the arm when he was approached by a group that stole his car, police said. All four suspects are now in custody.
Gainesville Police responded Monday afternoon to an armed robbery on Hollywood Avenue. The victim told police he was stabbed in the arm, but he refused medical transport for the minor injury.
The victim’s Audi car was taken, police said, and dispatchers relayed the vehicle’s information to officers.
Gainesville Police officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle shortly after the robbery report.
“The driver attempted to elude the officers,” Gainesville Police spokesman Cpl. Kevin Holbrook said. “Georgia State Patrol, which was in the area, assisted the Gainesville Police Department in stopping the vehicle on Thompson Bridge Road at Oak Tree Drive.”
