A gumball machine was stolen from an Athens Street barber shop between Tuesday night, March 6, and Wednesday morning, March 7, police said.
Gainesville Police said a delivery driver for The Times saw broken glass at Randolph’s Barber Shop and called the police.
Owner Joe Randolph said the gumball machine was sitting right beside the door, and a rock was found at the scene.
“They threw a rock through it, broke it out, grabbed it and kept going,” Randolph said.
Nothing else was reported missing, Randolph said.
According to the police log, officers said they believe it happened between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 4 a.m. Wednesday.
No other information was released by police.
