A Buford man is wanted by Gwinnett County Police as a suspect in a case involving two people shot in Buford earlier this month.

Police are looking for Quinton Wansley, 32, also known as “Big Quin.” Authorities said Wansley has active warrants for aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

One victim has since died from the Feb. 5 shooting outside of 550 N. Gwinnett St., where Wansley is suspected by police of shooting the two victims.

“An official manner and cause of death is still pending from the medical examiner’s office,” Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Deon Washington wrote in a news release. “The second victim is still recovering.”

Police said the specifics behind the shooting are still being investigated, and part of the shooting was captured on surveillance video.
