The Gainesville Police Department announced it has received a three-year reaccreditation by the Commission for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. CALEA voted unanimously last Saturday in Charleston, S.C., to reaccredit the department for the seventh time overall. Reaccreditation is for three years and the department is required to maintain continuous compliance and demonstrate a commitment to professional excellence in policy and procedure during that period.
