Gainesville Police will close part of Queen City Parkway on Sunday for up to six hours to do a crash reconstruction.

Cpl. Jessica Van said the area between Palmour Drive and West Ridge Road would be blocked starting at 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police are trying to reconstruct the 11-vehicle wreck from Monday that killed a Cumming woman. Nicole Rocafort, 24, was one of the 14 people involved in the wreck.

According to a preliminary report released Friday afternoon, Rocafort was in a Mazda stopped at the traffic light at the intersection of Queen City Parkway and West Ridge Road.

A tanker trailer struck Rocafort’s car in the rear and pushed it into a third vehicle, causing the other vehicle to overturn multiple times.

At the same time, Rocafort’s car struck another vehicle, causing it to go into a skid and a chain of cars striking one another.

Seven people were treated and released at Northeast Georgia Medical Center

No other information was released on the case.
