Prospective buyers of luxury condos to be built on the square in downtown Gainesville are encouraged to get on the waiting list as design plans for the $16 million development near completion. To date, almost 30 potential buyers have put down a required $2,000 deposit to get on the waiting list, Bev Knight, a real estate agent selling the units, told The Times this week. The mixed-use development featuring 15,000 square feet of street level retail and restaurant space, and approximately 33 condominium residences recently got its official name: Parkside on the Square, courtesy of a contest organized by Knight.
