Lake Lanier was overrun by pirates Saturday for the annual Pirates of Lanier Family Poker Run in Flowery Branch on Saturday. In the event, players sign up to buy a certain number of hands and earn cards in sealed envelopes from five stops along the lake, with the goal to form the best poker hand. Proceeds from this year’s event benefit Camp Sunshine, Camp Twin Lakes and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lanier.
