A Gainesville man suffered critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle while walking in the northbound lane on Cleveland Highway in North Hall on Tuesday morning, April 24, authorities said.

Authorities identified the injured man as Charles Edward Mosley IV, 32.

The accident happened about 4:50 a.m. near Walden Pond Road, Georgia State Patrol Sgt. Auston Allen said.

The vehicle’s driver, 20-year-old Madison Taylor of Gainesville, was not injured, Allen added.

Georgia State Patrol said no charges would be filed.
