A woman was struck and killed by a southbound vehicle Friday night near Limestone Parkway and Clarks Bridge Road, according to police.

“It appears that she just darted out in front of a southbound vehicle,” Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said.

The woman, who police believe to be in her 40s, was struck around 9:15 p.m. Holbrook was unsure of what vehicle struck the woman.

No further information was available from authorities.
