Peachtree Doors announced Thursday that it would be closing its Gainesville plant on Ramsey Road and moving the production to a facility in Park Fall, Wis.

The plant, which manufactures foam patio and entry doors, will close by the end of February, according to an announcement from the company. Employees were informed of the decision on Wednesday.

The company said the move will allow them to deliver complete orders, with entry doors and windows together in a single shipment, and reduce the manufacturing costs of those products.

The statement said the decision is not a reflection of the work of the Gainesville employees. Both salaried and hourly workers will lose their jobs, but the statement did not indicate how many are employed at the plant.
