Patrol IDs wreck victims

The Georgia State Patrol has released the names of two females who were killed as a result of a four-car collision in Barrow County.

Seven-year-old Kathern Collier and 69-year-old Nancy Hamrick, both of Winder, died Sunday afternoon in a four-car collision at the intersection of state route 211 and Old Thompson Mill Road.

The wreck occurred about 3 p.m. and shut down the westbound lanes of state route 211 for five hours.

The state patrol's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team, which investigates prosecutable fatalities, is currently investigating the wreck.
