Patriotic concert to move indoors with storms threatening

The Northwinds Symphonic Band’s concert of patriotic music will go on as planned Wednesday but will move indoors to Brenau University’s Pearce Auditorium in anticipation of stormy weather.

The concert originally was scheduled for The Arts Council Smithgall Arts Center.

The box office will open at 7 p.m. and doors for general seating at 7:30 p.m., with the concert beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets remain available in advance and at the door; they are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors 65 and older. For tickets, call 770-534-2787 or visit TheArtsCouncil.net.

Among the musical selections planned are “America, the Beautiful,” “The Chimes of Liberty,” “American Salute,” “The Star Spangled Banner” and John Philip Sousa marches.

No food or drink will be permitted in the auditorium.
