Parents remember lost children in candlelight service

Parents place candles on the shore of Lake Lanier on Wednesday evening in honor of Preganancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month at Longwood Park in Gainesville. Rock Goodbye Angel holds it fifth annual Wave of Light candlelight remembrance event, which recognizes families who have dealt with miscarriage and infant loss.
There are no words to describe the loss of a child. So said former President Ronald Reagan in 1988, when he declared October as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. In recognition, parents who have lost a child gathered on Wednesday evening at Longwood Park in Gainesville to remember their lost little ones in a candlelight service.
