How to help
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family of Easton Cain.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family of a 3-year-old Cleveland boy killed Tuesday when he was pinned between two cars at the Ingles in Cleveland.
Authorities said the driver of the car that pinned Easton Cain is charged with vehicular homicide and driving under the influence.
By 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, the page had raised about $24,500 and been shared 6,500 times on Facebook. Katie Edsall, a close friend of Easton’s mother Kala Cain, set up the page.
Easton Cain was described as “spunky” and “full of life” on the GoFundMe page.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
Easton Cain was standing near the rear of a parked and unoccupied 2012 Ford Explorer in the parking lot of the Cleveland Ingles when he was hit.
A Chevrolet Avalanche driven by James Holcomb, 36, hit the back of the Explorer, pinning Cain between them, authorities said. Holcomb has been charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, DUI, reckless driving and no insurance. He was uninjured in the crash.
