No one was at home Wednesday night when a Gillsville residence caught fire and was a “total loss,” according to authorities.
Hall County firefighters responded to the overnight fire in the 3600 block of Holly Springs Road. Firefighters used a defensive attack to control the fire on the 2,000-square-foot-residence.
Hall County Fire Services Capt. Zachary Brackett said no one was at home and no injuries were reported.
“The home was a total loss, and we currently do not have an estimated value,” he said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
