The Jackson County Engineering Department will hold a public information open house concerning the John B. Brooks Road improvement project from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Plans for the improvement project include widening John B. Brooks Road and adding a continuous center-turn lane and curbs along the road from U.S. 129 to Ga. 332.

The meeting will be held at the Brooks Village Clubhouse, 638 Cottage Loop, Pendergrass. This is a drop-in session and there won’t be a formal presentation. The purpose of the meeting is to give the public the opportunity to view and comment on the proposed detour route.
