Deputy Clerk of Court Stacey Kerr works Tuesday afternoon inside the Hall County Clerk of the Courts offices. The office's responsibilities include fine collection and disbursement, adoption records, court records, notary public appointments, personal property records and real estate records.
In the basement of the Hall County Courthouse, clerks go through anywhere between 8,500 and 9,000 files on cases in a month. Clerk of Courts Charles Baker and his staff are working on how to make part of this information available on the Internet. Baker and other courthouse personnel presented their budgetary requests and updates to the Hall County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday at the Hall County Government Center.
