More than a dozen Gainesville Police officers went through bike patrol certification last week. “It’s one of Chief (Carol) Martin’s efforts to enhance our community policing,” said Sgt. Kevin Holbrook. The officers were tested Friday to see if they are able to ride while performing all of their required tasks on the bicycle.
