The Oakwood Police Department is looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman believed to be part of a counterfeiting ring in Georgia. According to Cpl. Danny Sridej, a black woman, accompanied by another suspect, later identified as Christopher Cook, 39, of Columbus, purchased merchandise at the Oakwood Wal-Mart with counterfeit $50 bills. “Wal-Mart’s loss prevention notified us that they had a suspect that was passing out nice, new $50 bills that were counterfeit,” Sridej said.
