Primex Plastics Corp. in Oakwood could face $141,100 in penalties after two employees’ middle and ring fingers were amputated by shearing machines earlier this year. OSHA on Thursday proposed the penalties and cited the company’s Oakwood location at 3435 Old Oakwood Road with two repeated violations, 18 serious violations and two other-than-serious safety and health violations, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration. “Worker safety, not profits, must be a company’s priority,” said Bill Fulcher, OSHA’s director of the Atlanta-East Area Office, in the release.
