A North Hall Middle School eighth-grader was recuperating Tuesday after being hit by a car while jogging Monday afternoon. William Usrey, 14, was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with deep abrasions and bruises after being brushed by a car at about 4:45 p.m. while he was attempting to cross the road, Hall County Schools spokesman Gordon Higgins said. Usrey was jogging with another student on Jim Hood Road, not as part of any school activity, his mother Stephanie Usrey told school officials.
