North Hall High School biology and chemistry teacher Rebecca Hartfield has been named a 2008 Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars.

Each year, student members of the national scholar society select the teacher who has made the most significant contribution to their academic career.

North Hall High School senior Brittany Dial nominated Hartfield for the award.
