Charitable organizations in the area experienced a surge in donations at year’s end as individuals sought to qualify for a write-off on their 2013 taxes. The ReStore of Habitat for Humanity of Hall County, a mission which sells housing hardwares to the public at a reduced price and uses the funds for building projects, saw many goods contributed over the last few days. “We’ve received about $6,000 worth of new hardware supplies,” said assistant director Alison McElvery.
