A wreck involving a school bus tied up traffic Tuesday afternoon, but no children were on the bus at the time.

No injuries were reported in the three-vehicle incident on Academy Street.

The Georgia State Patrol reported that the driver of a Ford F150 was on Green Street at its intersection with Academy when an unknown driver in the “right lane of Academy Street motioned him to go.”

The pickup turned left into the path of a Lexus. That pickup truck driver was charged with failure to yield, according to the state patrol.

The Lexus hit the pickup in the left front corner. The Lexus then went south and hit the school bus, which was stopped on Academy Street in the right lane facing north.
